More and more smoke continues to come out of Tuscaloosa regarding Lane Kiffin's future with the Alabama football program.

The latest report that has the Crimson Tide's offensive coordinator potentially moving on after this season is from SB Nation. They are reporting that Kiffin will interview for the vacant head coaching position at Houston pretty soon after the SEC Championship Game this weekend.

The Cougars are looking to replace Tom Herman, who moved to Texas to replace Charlie Strong less than a week ago.

This report comes a day after a football analyst in New Orleans said Lane Kiffin would coach his final game at Alabama this Saturday during a radio interview on ESPN Baton Rouge.

During his SEC Championship press conference on Friday, Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban said he thought Kiffin was ready for another head coaching opportunity when asked.

It remains to see if and when Kiffin leaves Alabama, but there's no question that he's made a positive impact on the Crimson Tide offense, particularly at quarterback, and his time in Tuscaloosa would have to be considered a successful move by Saban.
