Florida returned to the top 10 for the first time in two seasons after a win over Missouri, but the team suffered a big setback two days later.

Multiple reports say starting quarterback Will Grier will be suspended for the remainder of this season.

The redshirt freshman has enjoyed a breakout year under first-year coach Jim McElwain. Grier has thrown for more than 1,200 yards and 10 touchdowns while leading the conference in completion percentage.

The timing couldn't be any worse for the Gators, who face an undefeated LSU team in Baton Rouge on Saturday. That's followed by a rivalry game with Georgia one week later.

Sophomore Treon Harris is expected to take over as starting quarterback in the wake of this NCAA violation. He played in nine games one year ago as a freshman so he has experience in big games.
