Ryan Anderson Focused Heading Into Final Season [VIDEO]

While the offense continues to get the majority of fall camp headlines, the Alabama defense looks to be the strength of the Crimson Tide heading into the opening game against USC.

The linebacker unit has the potential to be one of the best of the Nick Saban era, especially from a pass-rushing perspective. Tim Williams (10.5), Ryan Anderson (6), and Rashaan Evans (4) combined for 20.5 sacks from the linebacker position in 2015 and all three return for this season.

Anderson, a senior with 21 career tackles for loss, said the team is trying to set the tone at practice by pushing each other everyday.

"(We're) going out there working hard, getting after it," Anderson said. "If you don't understand something, ask. If you mess up something, mess it up full speed. Just create good habits."

The Crimson Tide led the nation in sacks with 52 in 2015 while giving up just 15.1 points per game. This year's defense lost some key players, but the expectations will be as high as ever.

"We're making improvements," Anderson said. "We're taking strides to be the team that we want to be.

"We're not where we want to be yet but we're getting better."
