The Alabama Crimson Tide are on course to have one of the greatest seasons in the history of college football. But this weekend they have to avenge a game that almost cost them a chance at another national championship.

With momentum on their side, the Auburn Tigers defeated the second top ranked opponent in the conference after defeating the Crimson Tide last season to win the SEC West. Although the one loss didn't derail the Crimson Tide route to another national championship, it's left a bad taste in their mouths for a whole year, until this weekend.

Will the Crimson Tide avenge that devastating loss inside Jordan-Hare last season, or will the Tigers pull of the upset at an attempt to stop the Crimson Tide's historic season? Here is who the Tide 102.9/100.9 staff has coming out of the Iron Bowl with the victory.

It’s finally the Iron Bowl. Bama on the verge of another 12-0 season and Auburn is once again struggling to put together another good season. Well a win over the Tide would cover a lot of frustration. Can the pull off another miracle? Tua will have a little to say about that, as well as all the returning players who were embarrassed last year in Jordan-Hare. Look for Tua to eclipse 400+ yards and lead Bama to a sound defeat of the Auburn Tigers. This could be 3rd consecutive shutout for the Tide D, but Auburn scores a little.

The recruiting at Auburn is way behind Alabama. This will make for a lopsided Iron Bowl. The Tide will play inspired on both sides of the ball.

I believe Gus will go fast to try and keep the Bama defense guessing. This strategy will backfire as Tua and this offense will be clicking on all cylinders with the extra possessions.

Alabama has lost only one game in the past two seasons. That loss came last year in the Iron Bowl at Jordan-Hare Stadium as Auburn handled the Tide 26-14. Alabama hasn’t lost two in a row to the Tigers since Nick Saban took over as head coach in 2007. Bama won’t lose on Saturday either.

As far as recent Iron Bowls played in Tuscaloosa go, this one will be more along the lines of 2016 (30-12) than 2014 (55-44) or 2012 (49-0). Regardless, Tua Tagovailoa gets his first win as a starter over the Tigers and the countdown to another colossal matchup with Georgia in Atlanta gets underway.

Alabama has redemption on their mind after the whipping they took last November. Tiger’s offense is as bad as advertised. Crimson Tide gets that revenge with a victory over Auburn.

It’s the second largest point spread in at least 40 years for this game and there’s a good reason for it. Alabama has its best offense of the Nick Saban era and the defense has returned to the standard we’ve come to expect. Jarrett Stidham will have trouble finding time in the pocket, which should cause issues in the passing game. Meanwhile, Auburn doesn’t have its usual strong running attack so points will likely be at a premium for the Tigers. If Alabama jumps on them early, it will likely get ugly.

You can never predict the outcome in a rivalry match-up, just look back a season ago. Though this year Alabama is guaranteed a spot in the SEC Championship, this Iron Bowl still has a lot on the line. Auburn has struggled defending the pass throughout the season, and couldn't stop Georgia on the ground. Where the Bulldogs averaged 6.6 yards a carry on their way to 333 total rushing yards and a touchdown. One would suspect Alabama to have their way with the Tigers, given the way they have preformed against SEC teams. Expect a fight throughout a majority of the game.

While Auburn has had their fare of success against Alabama inside Jordan-Hare Stadium, the opposite has been the story inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. The Tide has taken four of the last five meetings against the Tigers in Tuscaloosa and appear to have advantages in key matchups for Saturday including Alabama’s defensive line against Auburn’s offensive line. Tua will make enough plays in the passing game to keep a solid Auburn defense from stacking the box and give Alabama a comfortable win.

After last season's loss against Auburn, you wondered if Tua Tagovailoa could have made a difference in the outcome of the game, I guess we'll find out Saturday. The Tigers are having a total opposite season than they had last season on the record and the field. No running game, offensive line hasn't been the best unit, but the defense is stilling holding on. Defense will have to keep the Tigers in this game, but Alabama has too many weapons on offense for them to do so.
