Football teams around the SEC are about to enter the final month of the regular season this weekend.

While Alabama has the week off, a number of teams in both the SEC East and West are positioning themselves for a chance to reach the SEC Championship Game.

Three SEC West teams trail Alabama by one game in the loss column while Kentucky and Tennessee trail Florida by a game in the loss column in the SEC East.

With less than half of the regular season schedule remaining around the conference, SEC Network play-by-play broadcaster Tom Hart shared his thoughts on the 2016 SEC football season on Inside the Locker Room.

Hart discussed the Tennessee’s, Georgia’s and Florida’s chances of getting to the Georgia Dome on December 3.

He mentioned this team as his choice to represent the SEC East in the SEC Championship Game.

“I still think that Tennessee is the team to beat.” Hart said

Hart pointed to Tennessee’s favorable schedule in November, their undefeated record within the division and Florida’s trip to Baton Rouge as primary reasons for the Volunteers to make the SEC Championship Game.

In the overall conference picture, Hart offered his rankings of the top five teams in the SEC. Alabama came at the top while Texas A&M, Auburn, LSU and Tennessee rounded out his top five.

The SEC Network play-by-play broadcaster highlighted two of the most exciting games in the conference this season as well as a contest he thinks could garner the attention of the entire country.

“We have seen some incredible games already this year. Tennessee at Texas A&M, Tennessee and Georgia with two Hail Mary’s towards the end of the game. It’s another incredible year in the Southeastern Conference, and I think that game with Alabama at LSU has all the makings of being another heavyweight fight that is going to have the entire nation’s attention.” Hart said.

Hart later delved into the national scene around college football.

Inside the Locker Room airs every weekday from 7-9 AM on Tide 102.9/100.9 and the radioPup app.
