"I think we need to do a better job of the people playing around him," Alabama's head coach Nick Saban told the media Monday when addressing if he will play Tua Tagovailoa this weekend. "He needs to do a better job of stepping up in the pocket and getting rid of the ball, which he had several opportunities to do."

Alabama doesn't need to play Tagovailoa, at least that's what most Alabama fans would tell you. Is the risk worth it?

To help get into the coach's mindset Former Alabama lineman and national champion Alphonse "Shankk" Taylor joined Host of Southern Fried Sports Travis Reier Thursday morning to preview the Crimson Tide's upcoming game against the Citadel and give his take on the situation.

"if you practice that week," Shankk told Reier. "nine times out of ten you are going to play. If they feel it's necessary for you to sit out and you need some rehabbing then they will do that."
