The New Orleans Saints announced on Tuesday that they will honor former safety Roman Harper as one of the newest member of the Saints Hall of Fame.

The great Crimson Tide and New York Jets quarterback Joe Namath turns 77-years old today. Alabama Coach Bear Bryant called "Broadway Joe" "the greatest athlete I ever coached". Born in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, Joe Namath is one of three Alabama quarterbacks to be honored in the NFL Hall of Fame.

Alabama is seventh among college programs with eight members in the NFL Hall-of-Fame. Notre Dame and Southern Cal are tied for the most inductees with 13 each. The Hall-of-Fame is the NFL's highest individual honor commemorating a great player's career. The Crimson Tide has three offensive linemen, three quarterbacks, one defensive end and one two-way player.

The Pro Football Hall-of-Fame announced its All-Decade team for the 2010s yesterday and only one former Alabama player earned recognition. Julio Jones was selected as one of four wide receivers to the All-Decade team. Jones was accompanied by Calvin Johnson, Antonio Brown and Larry Fitzgerald at the wide receiver position.

The College Football Hall of Fame has announced its inductees for the class of 2020. Among the honorees is former Crimson Tide defender E.J. Junior. Junior played at the Capstone form 1977-80. Junior played defensive end on two national championship winning defenses while he was in Tuscaloosa.

Former Alabama quarterback Ken Stabler earned his permanent place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame on August 6, and his hometown of Mobile will honor him this week. Stabler's family and friends will be on hand at Foley High School for the 'Hometown Hall of Famer' presentation at halftime of the football game...
