Tennessee Basketball Coach Rick Barnes Recounts Coaching NBA Super Star Kevin Durant at Texas [Audio]

Coming off one of their best performances of the season in a 78-69 win over South Carolina, the Tennessee Volunteers travel to Tuscaloosa for an 8 PM tip off against Alabama.

First year Tennessee Coach Rick Barnes joined Wimp and Barry Sanderson on Inside the Locker Room to preview the upcoming game. Barnes also gave his insights into coaching NBA superstar Kevin Durant while he was at the University of Texas.

“Here’s what people should know about coaching Kevin Durant. We’d be playing in a game, and this is how good a coach I really am. The score would be really close and I’d say, ‘K.D., come here.’ He’d walk over and I said, ‘We need you to take this game over.’ That’s all I’d say to him.”
