‘The Gary Harris Show’ Will Debut on September 8 on Tide 99.1

Veteran broadcaster Gary Harris will soon add a daily radio show to his list of assignments when he makes his Tide 99.1 debut on September 8. 

The Gary Harris Show will complete a 12-hour, live and local programming lineup for Tuscaloosa's only sports station. The WVUA 23 Sports Director will host a two hour show every morning from 9-11 AM that airs between Inside the Locker Room with Wimp & Barry and The Chris Stewart Show.

"I'm thrilled to be a part of the Tide 99.1 lineup," Harris said. "Tuscaloosa deserves a great local sports talk lineup and the team that (General Manager) David DuBose has assembled is top notch. I'm looking forward to providing our listeners with a entertaining and informative show and can't wait to get started."

Harris brings a wealth of experience and extensive knowledge of Alabama athletics to the station. He keeps tabs on recruiting as the host of 'Tider Insider TV,' follows high school football as producer/host of 'Football Fridays,' and covers Alabama football as the anchor of 'Crimson Tide Kickoff.'

"My show is certainly going to have plenty of University of Alabama coverage but I also want to mix in other topics as well," Harris said. "I'm going to keep listeners up to date on how former University of Alabama athletes are doing in the different professional sports that they participate in, and I'm also going to feature a fantasy sports segment. Of course, I'm willing to discuss whatever is on our listeners' minds."
