Trey Mullinax capped off a signature week for Alabama golf by winning his first Web.com Tour event on Sunday.

The former Crimson Tide golfer shot a 30 on the back-nine at the Rex Hospital Open to move past Brady Schnell for a two-shot victory. The win earned Mullinax $117,000 and moved him up to No. 4 on the money list, which puts him in great shape to finish in the top 25 this season and earn a PGA Tour card for next year.

Mullinax, a member of Alabama's back-to-back national championship teams, wasn't the only former player going low on Sunday. Justin Thomas shot the low round of the day at The Players Championship to finish tied for third. That moved him up to 6th in the FedEx Cup standings.

Meanwhile in Tuscaloosa, the Alabama women's golf team secured its 12th straight appearance in the NCAA Championships and the men's team hosts its NCAA Regional at Ol' Colony.
