The Tuscaloosa News is reporting that City officials recommended the approval of an agreement with AT&T that will provide better mobile service to ticket holders during concerts at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater.

City Attorney Tom Bobitt said an agreement with AT&T to provide MicroCell service was brought before the council to address complaints over drops in cellular phone connections during performances.

The council's public projects committee approved the request to allow equipment that acts as mini-cellular tower that boosts cellular performance for homes and businesses.
