For the fourth year in a row, City of Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox and Auburn Mayor Bill Ham Jr. will continue their tradition of a $100 Iron Bowl wager to benefit local charities.

The two mayors have agreed that if the Alabama Crimson Tide wins, Ham will make a $100 donation to the Tuscaloosa Pre-K Initiative and if the Auburn Tigers prevail, Maddox will make a $100 donation to the Food Bank of East Alabama.

Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox said,

Throughout the year Mayor Ham and I work together in a number of ways to serve our respective cities. This wager leverages that camaraderie to give back even more.

In 2013 the mayors upped the ante from $25 donations to $100. In that time Ham has donated $300 to the Tuscaloosa Pre-K Initiative while Maddox has donated $100 to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Lee County.

Since they started the bet in 2005, Alabama leads the series 6-5.

Saturday will be the 81st meeting between the Tide and the Tigers. Pre-game broadcast starts at 11:30 am and can be heard on 95.3 The Bear and Tide 102.9.
