It's become tradition that Tuscaloosa Mayor Walter Maddox make a friendly, charitable wager with the mayors of towns facing the Crimson Tide.

Mayor Maddox and Clemson, South Carolina Mayor J. C. Cook will continue that practice for the College Football Playoff National Championship game.

If Alabama wins, Cook will wear a Bama tie to the following Clemson City Council meeting and will also donate $100 to the Tuscaloosa Pre-K Initiative.

If Clemson wins, Maddox will wear a Clemson tie to the following Tuscaloosa City Council meeting and donate $100 to the Clemson Community Foundation.

So far this year, thanks to other friendly wagers and a winning Crimson Tide football team, Mayor Maddox has raised $150 for the Tuscaloosa Pre-K Initiative.

The College Football Playoff National Championship game will kick off in University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona at 7:30 pm this Monday, Jan. 11. 95.3 The Bear and Tide 99.1 will air the game in Tuscaloosa starting at 4:30 pm.
