Tuscaloosa will be well represented in the 5th Qualifier at Lake Eufaula for the Alabama B.A.S.S Nation High School Team State Championship.

Five area high schools have claimed half of the top ten regional year to date standings on the leader board.

First place belongs to Austin Adcox and Wyatt Hamner from the Sipsey Valley High School club with American Christian Academy team taking second place with a 29 point deficit. Tuscaloosa County High takes fourth place with two teams from Northside claiming 8th and 9th.

The final qualifier happens on April 30th at Lakepoint State Park before the State Championship takes place on Lake Wheeler on June 9th and 10th.

I'm a Tuscaloosa County High grad, but I'm pulling for the Adcox/Hamner team to clinch the title. Not only are these two young men competing against the best high school fishing teams in the state, while attending the 8th grade but the family name's on the line. Austin Adcox just also happens to be my nephew.
