Well, this is certainly no way to win over the home crowd.

Detroit Tigers outfielder Tyler Collins lost a fly ball in the lights during Monday night's home game against the Oakland A's. He then failed to act quickly enough to pick up the ball, allowing Oakland's Marcus Semien to make it all the way to third base on what should've been a routine play.

The fans did not like that, so they booed. Collins did not like that, so he gave them the finger while he said, "[Bleep] everybody here!" So, yeah, it's NSFW.

The play came at a bad time -- Tigers pitcher Jordan Zimmerman was rolling, having failed to give up a run to start the season. That would come to an end when Semien scored on the next play. The Tigers, though, would go on to win, 7-3.

Collins tried to make amends after the game.

“To be at home and to hear boos after that play hit a trigger inside of me and I lashed out completely inappropriately," he said, according to the AP. "I’m absolutely embarrassed it happened and I’m very sorry to everybody in Detroit."
