The University of Alabama football team took part in its first scrimmage of the fall on Saturday afternoon at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The scrimmage lasted roughly 130 plays and just over two hours on a sunny and muggy Saturday afternoon in Tuscaloosa.
 
The scrimmage was Alabama’s first of the fall in preparation for its season-opening contest with Louisville in the Camping World Kickoff Game at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla., on Saturday, Sept. 1. The match-up between the Tide and Cardinals is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT on ABC.The team will be off Sunday before getting back to work on Monday.
