The University of Alabama will take its top-ranked scoring offense and fifth-ranked passing offense to Knoxville this weekend in hopes of making it 12 straight wins over Tennessee.

This year's Crimson Tide team is unlike its predecessors, which were led by stifling defenses. That's not to say the 2018 defense is weaker than units in the past, but this year's offense appears to be head-and-shoulders better than any of those previous teams.

Alabama trails only Ole Miss nationally in long scrimmage plays (20+ yards) and they've done so with a conservative second-half approach thanks to big halftime leads. But those explosive plays don't come as a huge surprise to wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.

"Not really because we work hard for what we're doing right now," Jeudy said on Monday. "So all that hard work, we're just showing out during the game."

Alabama has a good chance to continue that success on Saturday against the Vols, but it'll have to do so against a former assistant.

"Tennessee is going to be well-coached. Having Coach Pruitt over there, knowing him from last year, practicing against his defense last year, I know they'll be a well-coached team and we're excited to play them."

Jeudy and the Alabama offense will take on the SEC's 7th-ranked pass defense in Tennessee on Saturday afternoon.
