The story of the early season so far for Alabama is the historic production by the offense.

Even though Nick Saban has stressed the need for improvement, this group sits third nationally in scoring. It's also posted at least 500 yards of total offense in each of the first four games.

Much of the success so far has come through the air. Tua Tagovailoa and the group of receivers have been explosive. The sophomore starters have all produced double-digit catches and multiple touchdowns. That includes last year's national championship hero, DeVonta Smith, who is second on the team in catches and yards.
