A spot in the College Football Playoffs may not be the only thing the Alabama Crimson Tide lose this season. With their CFB Playoff bid still up in the air, the question still remains how long they will have one of their top assistants on the team.

Alabama defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt's name has been thrown into the SEC coaching carousel with the Mississippi State Bulldogs leading the pack in the Pruitt pursuit.

Many believe Alabama's defense made a minor step back from last year's team. Despite injuries at linebacker and losing key players to the NFL Draft, Pruitt has maintained this Alabama defense to hold one of the top spots in defensive stats in the SEC.

Former Alabama defensive back Will Lowery joined The Game with Ryan Fowler to discuss the possible opportunity Pruitt has as a head coach and also recaps and breaks down Alabama's loss this past weekend to the Auburn Tigers.

For Lowery's comments on Pruitt and his full analysis on the Iron Bowl make sure you watch the video above the article. Don't miss The Game with Ryan Fowler weekday afternoons from 2-6 p.m.
