Teams often look to their quarterback at critical moments and that's where Alabama currently finds itself. With injuries taking their toll and championship hopes still within reach, Jalen Hurts might have to shoulder more of the load in November.

The sophomore quarterback met with the media this week as his team prepares for Mississippi State, and the first question was about injuries.

"There will be guys that come up to me, guys like Minkah, and ask for some advice on what's about to go down, but I feel completely confident in any guy that steps on the field and I believe that they'll get the job done," Hurts said.

Alabama is a 14-point favorite over the Bulldogs on Saturday night, and Hurts will get his first taste of the clanging cowbells in Starkville.

"I've played in some pretty tough environments so I'm sure it'll be another in Mississippi State. Regardless of that, we have to block that out. We have to go out there and play our game and execute."
