Now entering his third year at The University of Alabama, Mike Locksley has moved up each season and now he enters 2018 as the offensive coordinator for the Crimson Tide.

After holding the same position at Maryland and Illinois previously, Locksley now gets the opportunity to lead one of the most talented offenses in the nation.

"Alabama has proven to be a special place for me to coach," Locksley said. "The opportunity to learn and work under Coach Saban is something you can't replicate and it's one of the reasons I came here."

Locksley said he's excited about the players he has returning and their attitude entering fall camp, but he singled out one position as the strongest right now.

"The running back group to me probably is the strength of our offensive unit. We feel we've got four guys that are capable. Obviously Damien (Harris) returning for his senior year was huge for us, having him return along with the three guys that we have."

As far as quarterbacks are concerned, Locksley didn't tip his hand at all. He said both Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa are talented players but the starting job will play itself out over the next few weeks and ultimately Nick Saban will make that decision.
