VIDEO: Tosh Lupoi Talks About His 2018 Defense & Goals for Fall Camp

Alabama's two newest coordinators met with the media for the first time prior to the 2018 season on Saturday and Tosh Lupoi spent time talking about the opportunity and his personnel heading into fall.

The new defensive coordinator takes over for Jeremy Pruitt after his departure for Tennessee and he spoke about his excitement to take over this unit.

"When I was fortunate enough to come here in the beginning, I came here for a reason and that's, one, to be at the Mecca of college football and to be coaching with and under one of the best coaches ever to live."

Lupoi will have a lot of talent at his disposal but a lack of experience in the defensive backfield and some depth concerns at linebacker will present a challenge during fall camp. He addressed those issues and spoke in depth about a number of players on the defense during his press conference on Saturday.
