For the second year in a row, Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn led off SEC Media Days by taking the stage after commissioner Greg Sankey.

Coming off a disappointing season that saw the Tigers finish 7-6 after the media picked them to win the conference, Malzahn said his team has set the motto to earn their teammates' and coaches' respect each day. He also said that he's been pleased with the way his players have worked this offseason.

As for the quarterback position, Malzahn said they haven't identified a starter but have some time to do that.

He also thinks Auburn's schedule is as tough as any in the nation and hopes that playing the first five games at home will be a big benefit.
