COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- It wasn't even the first time Alabama had a pick-six in the game.

Junior safety Eddie Jackson intercepted two passes against Texas A&M on Saturday, including one returned for a 93-yard touchdown during the Crimson Tide's 41-23 win.

With 6:28 left in the first half, Jackson picked off Texas A&M quarterback Kyle Allen's pass, weaving between Aggies defenders along his way to the end zone on the far side of the field. The score extended Alabama's lead to 28-6.

It was the third-longest interception return in Alabama history.

During the first quarter, true freshman Minkah Fitzpatrick returned an errant Allen pass for a 33-yard touchdown, the first score of the game for either team. He later returned a second interception for a 55-yard score late in the fourth quarter.

For Alabama, it’s now returned four interceptions for touchdowns this season, including a school-record three against the Aggies.

I think the four interceptions were huge in the game,” Alabama coach Nick Saban said. “Three scores on defense is unprecedented, probably, and some kind of record. Minkah having two is fantastic for a freshman.”

Former Crimson Tide defensive backs Javier Arenas and Justin Woodall returned a touchdown each against Arkansas in 2008 -- the previous single-game school record.

Prior to this season, the Crimson Tide had not returned an interception for a touchdown since Landon Collins’ 89-yard run back against Tennessee in 2013.

On the final play of the third quarter, Jackson intercepted Aggies backup quarterback Kyler Murray for his second pick of the game, returning it 26 yards to the Aggies 28.

Jackson now has five interceptions this season, including at least one in each in his last three games. At Georgia two weeks ago, he returned an interception 50 yards for a score, the first touchdown of his career.

In total, Jackson has 230 interception return yards this season, breaking Hootie Ingram's 63-year-old record of 163 yards on 10 interceptions set in 1952. His 119 return yards against the Aggies was also a single-game school record, passing Mark McMillian's 98 yards against Chattanooga on Oct. 5, 1991.

As a team, Alabama had 207 interception return yards against Texas A&M, also a school record and the third-most in SEC history. Most recently, Tennessee had 214 against South Carolina in 1971.

In Alabama's last visit to Texas A&M in 2013, former Crimson Tide safety Vinnie Sunseri returned an interception 73 yards for a touchdown.

Jackson moved from cornerback to safety this past offseason.

Alabama led 28-13 at the half.
