The University of Alabama could leave the mainland to pick up its next football recruit. Hawaii quarterback prospect Tua Tagovailoa will make his college choice on Monday night.

The announcement is set for 11:15 PM CT on his local news.

The left-handed, dual-threat quarterback visited Tuscaloosa in April after receiving an offer from Nick Saban in March. The four-star prospect was once considered a heavy Oregon lean but 247Sports' Crystal Ball predictions now have Alabama leading for his commitment.

Recruiting services have Tagovailoa rated as high as a top-50 overall prospect, which makes him the best high school quarterback to come out of Hawaii by rankings. Should the Crimson Tide land him, it would be the school's 9th commitment for the class of 2017 and the first quarterback.
