Through 12 seasons of excellence on the football field under Nick Saban has seen numerous assistants come and go through the Mal Moore Football Building on campus but one constant has remained the same.

While the Crimson Tide has seen seven offensive coordinators and five defensive coordinators come through the football program, Scott Cochran has headed the strength and conditioning program for Alabama football since Saban's arrival in Tuscaloosa in 2007.

Cochran plays a critical role in the physical and mental development of the players on the Crimson Tide roster, especially during the summer when the rest of the coaching staff do not have regular contact with them according to NCAA rules.

To close out the week, Martin Houston weighed Cochran's impact on Alabama football on The Blitz including his role in physically and mentally developing the team and his relationship with the team.

The former Alabama fullback from 1989-1992 brought up a listener response concerning Kirby Smart's interest in stealing the Crimson Tide's strength and conditioning coach from Saban along with if losing Cochran would be Saban's biggest loss and should Cochran make $1 million.
