Nick Saban told us all that the quarterback competition has come down to two players: Cooper Bateman and Blake Barnett. Football is a game where many players get the chance to play, but a only one player can take each snap on the field. Which means only one of these two will take the first snap for Alabama when they travel to Arlington, TX to take on the USC Trojans.

It has become the most popular discussion in Tuscaloosa since Nick Saban took over the reigns at Alabama: who will be the starting quarterback? Bateman is the safe bet to start against USC, given this being his fourth year in Tuscaloosa. However, he doesn't have much game experience. But, he does have more game experience than Blake Barnett, and Saban did mention in his Monday press conference that Bateman has a great knowledge of the offense, and that goes a long way on a Nick Saban team.

It had been reported that Jalen Hurts might be the favorite to start, but that rumor was put to rest on Monday afternoon during Saban's presser.

So who's it gonna be against the Trojans? Bateman or Barnett?
