Lucas Oil Stadium will play host to over 300 players at the 2015 NFL Combine that are trying to make it to the next level. The NFL Combine gives players the opportunity to impress scouts, general managers, and owners from all 32 NFL teams.

11 former Alabama players will be among the 300+ seeking to fulfill their dreams and play in the National Football League. The former Tide players invited were Amari Cooper, Jalston Fowler, Arie Kounadjio, Christion Jones, Austin Shepherd, Blake Sims, DeAndrew White, T.J. Yeldon, Landon Collins, Trey Depriest, and Xzavier Dickson were also invited. Only Florida State had more players invited to the combine.

Medical evaluations and interviews began on Tuesday, but the official drills and weight lifting will begin on Thursday. Live coverage of these drills can be found on the NFL Network beginning at 8:00 am CT.

Offensive linemen Arie Kouandjio and Austin Shepherd will participate in the bench press workout. The bench press workout is a test to see how many times a player can rep 225 pounds without stopping.

Friday, February 20, 2015

Beginning at 9:00 am, Arie Kouandjio and Austin Shepherd will take part in the on-field workout which includes the 40 yard dash, vertical jump, broad jump, 3 cone drill, and the shuttle run.

Quarterback Blake Sims, wide receivers Amari Cooper, DeAndrew White, Christion Jones, and running backs T.J. Yeldon and Jalston Fowler will all participate in the bench press workout.

Starting at 9:00 am Sims, Cooper, White, Jones, Fowler, and Yeldon will get the opportunity to impress scouts by taking part in the on-field workout. These drills are extremely important for skill players.

Linebackers Trey Depriest and Xzavier Dickson will put their strength on display in the bench press workout.
