With National Signing Day arriving, Nick Saban and his coaching staff are putting the finishing touches on what appears to be another top ranked recruiting class.

Alabama is ranked number one across all major recruiting sites (Rivals, 24/7 Sports, Scout, and ESPN Recruiting Nation), and Saban is in position to hold on to this top-ranked class depending on how National Signing Day unfolds. For the longest time, it didn't seem like there would be any major surprises for the Crimson Tide on Wednesday. However, decommitments from defensive backs Rico McGraw and Montrell Custis along with offensive tackle Isaiah Prince have opened the door for some last minute drama in Tuscaloosa.

Alabama currently has 23 commitments, which places a choke hold on the amount of scholarships the school has to offer. This makes the drama and speculation even more exciting as players prepare to make a decision on where they want to play college football for the next three to four years.

Tide991.com has put together a list of five things Tide fans should watch for this Wednesday. Recent developments lead us to believe that will be one of the most exciting National Signing Days in recent history.

Will Terry Godwin Flip from Georgia to Alabama?

Terry Godwin is one of the nation's best high school football athletes. Godwin played wide receiver, defensive back, and kick returner for Callaway High School in Hogansville, Georgia. According to Rivals.com, he is the number one overall athlete in the country and is ranked second overall in player rankings for the state of Georgia. Godwin has been a long time Georgia commit, but has kept an open recruitment with official visits to Alabama, Auburn, and USC.

A recent visit to Tuscaloosa has rumors heating up of a possible flip to the Crimson Tide. Godwin has visited Alabama over 10 times throughout his recruitment. He and his family are big on Nick Saban and what he has to offer, but the chances of him flipping are still slim. It would be a huge pickup for an already loaded class if Saban managed to land him. While there is an outside chance that he lands at Alabama, it would come as quite a shock if he did not stick with his home state Georgia Bulldogs.

Can Nick Saban Reel Isaiah Prince Back In?

Alabama landed a huge commitment from Isaiah Prince on January 23rd. Prince, a 6'6", 270 pound offensive tackle from Greenbelt, Maryland, is regarded as one of the best offensive linemen in the country. Soon after his commitment to Alabama, Prince decided to go on his previously cancelled trips to Ohio State and Maryland. Six days after his commitment, he re-opened his recruitment and decommitted from the Crimson Tide.

Nick Saban and offensive line coach Mario Cristobal recently visited with Prince with the hopes of him reaffirming his previous commitment. It is believed that their efforts will come up short, and he will either sign with Ohio State or stay in state. That is not to say that there is no chance of him ending up in Tuscaloosa. Saban has not given up on him yet. Even without Prince, Alabama will finish with a top-ranked offensive line class that includes Lester Cotton, Brandon Kennedy, Richie Petitbon, Dallas Warmack, and Matt Womack.

Will Alabama Land K.J. Hill and Daylon Charlot?

One of the bigger story lines on National Signing Day will be whether or not Alabama can land top ranked wide receivers K.J. Hill and Daylon Charlot. Hill was once an Arkansas commit, but decided to reassess his recruitment following a visit to Alabama. It looked like Saban had sealed the deal after he and wide receivers coach Billy Napier had an in home visit with Hill.

However, reports recently circulated the he gave a silent commitment to Ohio State following an in home visit from Urban Meyer. Hill's parents denied the reports. It still looks like that it will be another recruiting battle between Meyer and Saban to land Hill with many believing that Alabama is the favorite.

Unlike Hill, not many reports or rumors have circulated regarding Daylon Charlot due to his ability to remain silent throughout the recruiting process. Charlot committed to Alabama early, but decided to decommit following a visit to LSU. The Patterson, Louisiana native was moving on from the Crimson Tide in favor of the home state Tigers. However, a late push by Saban has him back on the radar.

Alabama may be favorites to land both Hill and Charlot, but the question is if they can land both? A commitment from one may encourage the other to take a different route. A surprise commitment from Terry Godwin could also shake things up. Right now it is a safe bet that Alabama will grab either Hill or Charlot if not both. They, along with current commit Calvin Ridley, would make for one of the best wide receiver classes in the country.

Will Minkah Fitzpatrick Flip To Florida State?

One of Alabama's top commits is Minkah Fitzpatrick. Rivals, 24/7 Sports, and Scout all rank the 6'0", 188 defensive back as a 5-star prospect. Fitzpatrick was one of Saban's primary targets once he opened up his recruitment. It did not take long for him to decide that he wanted to play for the Crimson Tide, and he gave his verbal to Saban last April. Despite his early commitment, it now appears that Florida State may convince Fitzpatrick to make the flip. FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher has reportedly given Fitzpatrick a sales pitch that involves telling him that Alabama already has plenty of defensive backs commits.

That sales pitch no longer holds much weight. Recent decommitments from defensive backs Rico McGraw and Montrell Custis leaves Alabama with Fitzpatrick, Shawn Burgess-Becker, Ronnie Harrison, Kendall Sheffield, and Deionte Thompson. It is also worth mentioning that Sal Sunseri, one of the FSU assistants recruiting Fitzpatrick, has departed for a position with the Oakland Raiders. There is still concern that he will flip to the Seminoles and for good reason. However, it is more likely that he sticks with Alabama.

UPDATE: Fitzpatrick has taken the drama out of signing day by reaffirming his commitment to Alabama.

    Can Alabama Land CeCe Jefferson?

Landing CeCe Jefferson would be one the biggest, if not the biggest, headlines of National Signing Day. Jefferson is one of the nation's most versatile defensive ends at 6'2", 245 pounds. Alabama has always been in the hunt but was never considered a favorite to land him. A long time Florida fan, Auburn was regarded as a favorite to land Jefferson after the hiring of Will Muschamp. Not to mention the Tigers' recent hire of Lance Thompson who was his primary recruiter at Alabama. Recent developments have Tuscaloosa as a potential landing spot for the highly-touted defensive end.

It was first reported that Saban was sending defensive coordinator Kirby Smart and defensive assistants Tosh Lupoi and Bo Davis to have an in home visit with Jefferson. The last player Saban sent more than two assistants to go visit was Rashaan Evans. It was later revealed, via Jefferson's twitter, that Saban also sent Lane Kiffin to visit. Reports indicate that the in-home visit went great and that Alabama has put itself in great position. If Jefferson signs with the Crimson Tide, it would cap off one of the best recruiting classes of the Saban era.
