Less than a week ago, Nick Saban along with three Alabama players strolled through SEC Media Days to preview the 2017 football season.

While the SEC kicked off the celebration of another upcoming football season, the ACC also held their annual media days this past Thursday and Friday in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher made headlines by proclaiming the ACC as the premier conference in college football.

Last season, Clemson took home their second national championship in program history and the conference’s second championship in four seasons with a 35-31 victory over Alabama.

During Monday’s edition of The Blitz, former Alabama fullback Martin Houston examined Jimbo Fisher’s statement from ACC Media Days.

To start his study of the two conferences, Houston posed a simple question to his audience.

“How do we determine who’s the best?” Houston asked

“Would you look at head-to-head matchups? Would you look at wins in the big games? Would you look at bowl games against all conferences, and would you look at coaching?” Houston stated.

Throughout the segment, the former Alabama fullback dove in-depth into the comparisons of the ACC and SEC relative to the quality of coaches, postseason results and how Clemson has competed with a number of college football’s elite programs over the last several years.

The Blitz kicks off live and local coverage of Alabama sports every weekday from 6-7 AM on Tide 102.9/100.9 and the radioPup app.
