After opening conference play with two impressive victories over Texas A&M and Tennessee, it looked as though the Alabama men's basketball team could make a serious run at March Madness.  The season went south quickly though, starting with a loss to the South Carolina Gamecocks in Columbia.  Now, with the NCAA Tournament all but a dream at this point, Alabama will play host to the Gamecocks in Tuscaloosa.  If nothing else, it's a chance to exorcise some demons that have plagued this team all year.

Unfortunately, the Tide will once again be without junior guard Ricky Tarrant for the 8th straight game.  Head coach Anthony Grant will not give any timetable on Tarrant's return, simply telling reporters at Monday's press conference that when a change occurs he will let the press know.  Tarrant has been fighting a leg injury that has sidelined him for most of the Tide's SEC slate.

Here is the video of Monday's press conference, where Anthony Grant was joined by team captain Levi Randolph and freshman guard Riley Norris:

Alabama and South Carolina will tipoff at 6:00 pm CT tomorrow at Coleman Coliseum. The game will be televised on the SEC Network, while our own Chris Stewart will have the call with Crimson Tide Sports Network on our sister station 95.3 FM The Bear.
