The Alabama coaching staff recognized 10 Players of the Week following the Crimson Tide’s 66-3 victory over Ole Miss last Saturday. The honorees included: Hale Hentges, Josh Jacobs, Jerry Jeudy and Jonah Williams on offense, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Anfernee Jennings and Levi Wallace on defense, and Keith Holcombe, JK Scott and Mack Wilson on special teams.

Williams helped clear a path for 613 yards of total offense, while grading out at 87 percent with three knockdown blocks from the left tackle position. The sophomore lineman did not allow a sack or commit a penalty in 55 snaps against the Rebels. Jacobs totaled 87 yards on four touches to average 21.8 yards per tote, running for 51 yards on two carries and catching a pair of passes for 36 yards with one of his receptions going for six. Also catching a touchdown was Hentges, who used his lone catch to help increase the Tide’s lead in the first half. Jeudy caught multiple passes for his second consecutive game, totaling two receptions for 31 yards and grading out the highest of all wide receivers against the Rebels.

The Alabama defensive effort was led by Fitzpatrick, who closed out his night with a career-high eight tackles, five of which were solo stops. The junior defensive back accounted for two tackles for loss (-17 yards), including a sack of Ole Miss’ Shea Patterson for a 12-yard loss. Wallace picked off two passes, returning one for a score for the first defensive touchdown of his career, as the two defensive backs anchored a secondary that held an Ole Miss offense to just 165 passing yards. Jennings contributed three tackles on the evening, and also added a forced fumble to his totals.

Scott punted twice for 85 yards, with a long of 55, and kicked off a career-high 11 times for 693 yards to average 63.0 yards per kick with five going for a touchback. Scott also added his first made field goal of the year, hitting from 48 yards out. Wilson and Holcombe assisted in the kickoff game, each finishing a tackle apiece on return coverage to continue their steady play on special teams.
