Coaching rumors, finally a hire, and the introduction of coach Kalen DeBoer to the team last night concluded a hectic work week for the Crimson Tide that began with defensive coordinator Kevin Steele retiring on Monday night.

Doesn't that feel so long ago?

On Saturday, more moves have already begun. Defensive backs coach Travaris Robinson accepted a job at Georgia as the safeties coach and Co-DC.

The loss of Coach Saban, Coach Steele, and now Coach Robinson is being felt. Alabama defensive back Dezz Ricks has announced he is going to enter the transfer portal.

Ricks was a five-star cornerback from the state of Virginia, but he attended IMG Academy. The 6-foot-1, 182-pound freshman appeared in just two games for the Crimson Tide this season. He did not record any stats.

Ricks will have four years of eligibility remaining at his new school should he choose to leave Alabama. He held offers from schools such as Florida, Alabama, Texas, LSU, Miami, and Auburn.

Alabama could lose more players to the transfer portal while new head coach Kalen DeBoer finalizes his staff. They'll have their work cut out for them if they hope to keep several talented four and five-star athletes.
