The University of Alabama football team suited up in full pads for the first time during Fall Camp on Monday afternoon. The Tide participated in a two-hour practice that began on the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields and ended inside the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility due to a heavy afternoon thunderstorm.

Monday’s workout focused on fundamentals and conditioning as Alabama continued preparations for its first scrimmage this Saturday Aug. 13.

Monday's practice was the fifth straight day of work for the Crimson Tide and continues a stretch of 11 practices before the team's first intra-squad scrimmage on Saturday, Aug. 13, followed by the team’s first off day on Sunday.

The Tide will take part in a total of 28 sessions during fall camp leading up to the Tide’s season opener with the Southern California Trojans on Sept. 3. The two teams will kick off the season in Arlington, Texas at AT&T Stadium for the AdvoCare Classic at 7 p.m. CT on ABC.
