Alabama football’s Ross Pierschbacher was selected as the Southeastern Conference’s Offensive Lineman of the Week, the league office announced on Monday morning.

Pierschbacher graded out at a team-high 93 percent in the Crimson Tide’s 65-31 victory at Arkansas last Saturday. The redshirt senior accounted for four knockdown blocks as the Tide backs accumulated 246 yards rushing and five touchdowns. Pierschbacher did not allow a quarterback pressure or commit a penalty in 56 snaps and allowed time for the UA quarterbacks to accumulate 393 yards passing and four scores through the air.

His efforts, along with his fellow linemates, helped Alabama roll up a season-high 639 yards of total offense without allowing a sack to help the offensive line unit improve to sixth nationally with just 0.67 sacks allowed per game.
