The sixth-ranked Alabama gymnastics team will host one of its biggest meets of the year on Friday when Boise State comes to Tuscaloosa.

Friday night will mark the 11th Power of Pink meet for the Crimson Tide, which is used to raise awareness for breast cancer. The event has raised over $1.5 million for the DCH Breast Cancer Fund. This year, the program will honor 20 breast cancers survivors during team intros.

Along with the pink festivities, Alabama will honor Sarah and David Patterson for their 36 years of excellence.

“We’ve been looking forward to this meet for so many reasons all season,” UA head coach Dana Duckworth said. “We’re facing another amazing team in Boise State, it’s the pink meet and so many of our alumni are coming back. Above everything else, we have this tremendous opportunity to honor Sarah and David for all they’ve accomplished over their 36-year career.”

Alabama enters the match with three straight wins over top 25 opponents, which included victories over No. 1 Florida and No. 9 Auburn.
