Next week's meeting between Alabama and LSU might not receive the hype and attention it has in recent years, but this game will still carry a lot of weight in the SEC race.

Oddsmakers already have a point spread out for that night game in Baton Rouge and the Crimson Tide is expected to make it six in a row over the Tigers. Sportsbook lists the nation's top-ranked as a 10-point favorite next Saturday night.

While Alabama has enjoyed a lot of recent success of LSU, the Crimson Tide hasn't won in Death Valley by more than seven points since the 31-0 win in 2002. That's back when Nick Saban was still wearing purple and gold as the Tigers' head coach.

The 10 points might seem like a lot for a road game against the 19th-ranked team, but it's actually the smallest point spread of the season for Alabama, matching the week three trip to Oxford to play Ole Miss. If the line holds where it is, there's a very good chance that Alabama will be a double-digit favorite all the way until the College Football Playoff if it wins out.

Next Saturday's game will be the second of a double header on CBS and kicks off at 7PM.
