The Tide has risen in the AP Top 25, jumping to No. 8 in the rankings.

Alabama needed some help this week and got it. Thanks to previous No. 6 ranked Oklahoma, the Sooner's loss to the unranked Kansas Jayhawks helped clear the way for the Tide.

Alabama earned 1114 points from the voters this week, up 43 from last week and 75 less than the No. 7 ranked Texas Longhorns, who are still Alabama's lone loss of the season.

AP Top 10:

  1. Georgia (1553, 48)
  2. Michigan (1494, 9)
  3. Ohio State (1446, 3)
  4. FSU (1421, 3)
  5. Washington (1327, 0)
  6. Oregon (1235, 0)
  7. Texas (1189, 0)
  8. Alabama (114, 0)
  9. Penn State (1044, 0)
  10. Oklahoma (1010, 0)

The Tide's opponent this week, the LSU Tigers, jumped to No. 13 in the poll, making a top-15 showdown when College Gameday rolls into Tuscaloosa on Saturday.

Tide 100.9 will air the game on 100.9 FM, WTBC 1230 AM, and the Tide 100.9 app.
