Alabama Lands 3-Star Cornerback Eddie Smith Out of Louisiana on Signing Day

The first addition of National Signing Day came early for the Crimson Tide when defensive back Eddie Smith announced his decision to sign with Alabama.

The 3-star prospect out of Slidell, Louisiana, had more than 25 offers and was previously committed to TCU at one point during the process. You might remember the name because head coach Nick Saban danced with his family last month and the video went viral on social media.

Smith made his official visit to Tuscaloosa at the end of January and hinted at the commitment on Twitter.

Smith becomes the 16th total signee for the University of Alabama in the 2018 class. You can see some of his highlights in the video below.
