Four-star linebacker Darrel Johnson of the 2025 class from Eastman, Georgia announced his commitment to the University of Alabama Tuesday evening.

Johnson, who attends Dodge County High School, has played five different positions but settled in as a linebacker over the 2023 season where he tallied 103 tackles.

According to 247sports composite rankings, Johnson is slotted as the 28th prospect in the country, No.3 at his position and No.7 overall prospect in the state of Georgia.

Over 25 schools had offered Johnson and his final list was down to five schools that included Texas A&M, Florida State, Tennessee, and USC to go along with the Crimson Tide.

Johnson is Alabama's sixth commitment of the 2025 class and the highest-ranked recruit in the class so far.

The Crimson Tide's other five commitments include No. 8 wide receiver Derrick Smith and No.5 running back Anthony Rogers.
