Alabama Lands in Top 5 in Preseason AP Poll

The Alabama Crimson Tide football team ranks at No. 4 in the first AP Poll of the season with 1,398 points.

Georgia is the top-ranked team with 1,572 points and 60 first-place votes, followed by Michigan at No. 2 with 1,490 points and two first-place votes, Ohio State at No. 3 with 1,400 points and one first place vote, and LSU caps off the top five with 1,276 points.

Five SEC teams made the rankings. Joining the Tide and Tigers is Tennessee at No. 12 with 868 points, Ole Miss at No. 22 with 281 points, and Texas A&M at No. 23 with 227 points.
