Alabama LB Tim Williams Says He’ll Return for Senior Season [VIDEO]

Alabama junior linebacker Tim Williams has enjoyed a breakout season for the nation's best defense, but he plans to take it to another level in his final season.

Williams, who is second on the team with 9.5 sacks, announced that he planned to return for his senior year with the Crimson Tide.

"I'm coming back because I see all of the examples in front of me," Williams said. "Reggie Ragland came back for his senior year, C.J. Mosley, and some other guys. I love playing college football.

I feel like the moments I have here with my brothers, I feel like I have to cherish that while I'm here. If I have another year, I'm going to take full advantage of that year."

With a few players likely to depart for the NFL this offseason, Williams will have an opportunity for more playing time and he's setting his goals high.

"I would like to say 28 (sacks). That would be my goal," Williams said.

Why 28 sacks?

"Because Derrick Thomas's 27 is the single-season record."
