The Alabama men’s basketball team fell to Mississippi State, 67-63, Tuesday night at the Humphrey Coliseum. Freshman Collin Sexton converted 8-of-10 from the free throw line to total a team high of 18 points, while pulling down five rebounds.

Sophomores Daniel Giddens and Braxton Key also reached double figures, scoring 11 points apiece.

After eight ties and 11 lead changes, Mississippi State (18-6, 6-5 SEC) held Alabama (15-9, 6-5 SEC) to 36.7 percent shooting from the floor (18-of-49) and just 13.6 percent shooting from beyond the arc (3-of-22) to snatch its 16th home win at The Hump.

Alabama will return to Coleman Coliseum Saturday, Feb. 10 to face No. 15 Tennessee. Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. CT on SEC Network.
