The Alabama offensive line was selected as one of 10 semifinalists for the Joe Moore Award, the Foundation for Teamwork announced Tuesday. The Joe Moore Award is presented annually to the nation's top offensive line unit. Alabama is joined by Arizona State, Clemson, Georgia, Memphis, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Pittsburgh, Washington State and Wisconsin on the semifinalists list.

The Alabama offensive line has paved the way for 10 500+ total yard games this season, the most in the Football Bowl Subdivision. The Tide leads the SEC and is third nationally in total offense, averaging 541.5 yards per game, which is on pace to shatter the school record. Alabama is seventh in the country in passing offense at 328.0 yards per contest. UA is tied for ninth nationally with just 10 sacks allowed and is on pace to become just the fourth team since 2000 to average at least eight yards per play over the course of a season.

The award is named after Joe Moore, widely regarded as one of the best offensive line coaches in college football history and is the only major college football award to honor a unit. The award annually recognizes the nation's most outstanding offensive line unit that best displays toughness, effort, teamwork, physicality, tone setting and finishing. Alabama previously won the award in 2015. Finalists for this year’s award will be announced Dec. 4.
