Alabama went indoors Wednesday, as it continues its preparations for its SEC opener against No. 15 Ole Miss on Saturday. The Crimson Tide, practicing inside the Hank Crisp Indoor Practice Facility, wore full pads.

Observations:

- Sophomore wide receiver Cam Sims was back on the practice field, one day after missing practice, presumably because of the birth of his daughter, Kameryn Faye Sims.

- For the second consecutive practice, senior Dominick Jackson appeared to be taking the first-team reps at right tackle. On Monday, his backup, junior Brandon Greene, was taking reps with the first team at that position. Jackson struggled against Middle Tennessee State last Saturday.

- Bo Scarbrough wore the No. 17 scout team jersey of versatile Ole Miss tight end Evan Engram.

- Reserve running backs Brandon Turner, Xavian Marks and Lawrence Erikosima were wearing the No. 6 scout team jersey of Ole Miss starting running back Jaylen Walton.

- Another walk-on running back, Derrick Gore, wore the No. 22 of running back Jordan Wilkins.

- Freshman cornerback Kendall Sheffield, a former five-star prospect, wore No. 1 for Ole Miss cornerback Tony Bridges, the nation’s top JUCO cornerback before arriving in Oxford this season.

- A Tampa Bay Buccaneers scout watched practice from the sideline.

- Paul Bryant Jr. was also seen inside the practice facility Wednesday.
