Alabama sophomore running back T.J. Yeldon will be featured on the cover for one of six regional Sports Illustrated College Football Preview Issues. The other five covers match the magazine's preseason top 25 rankings - #2 Stanford, #3 Texas A&M, #4 Ohio State, #5 Oregon, and #6 South Carolina.

Yeldon is the fifth straight running back to claim a spot on the illustrious cover. Glenn Coffee was on the cover after the Tide defeated Clemson to open the 2008 season. Mark Ingram was then featured twice during the 2009 campaign while Trent Richardson was on the cover in 2010 and 2011. Eddie Lacy was highlighted twice in 2012, with a cover leading up to the BCS National Championship Game and another following the Alabama win.

The Daphne native enters the season as the starting running back for the Crimson Tide with some publications calling him a darkhorse candidate for the Heisman Trophy. As a freshman backing up Eddie Lacy, Yeldon rushed for 1,108 yards and 12 touchdowns.
