Alabama Sits Atop First 2016 College Football Playoff Rankings

The first meaningful rankings are out and the Alabama Crimson Tide finds itself in the same spot it's been all year. 

The College Football Playoff rankings were released on Tuesday and Nick Saban's team checks in at No. 1 in the first poll.

Here are the four teams that would make the playoff as November begins:

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Michigan
4. Texas A&M

The Crimson Tide still has a difficult finish to the regular season with matchups with No. 13 LSU and No. 9 Auburn awaiting them.
