After the Crimson Tide's 4-3 exhibition win over Vanderbilt last Thursday, the Alabama soccer team will travel to Memphis and play host to Troy this weekend, under first year head coach Wes Hart.

Hart joined Chris Stewart on Thursday to discuss his new role as head coach of the Alabama Women's Soccer Team, and how the squad looked in their exhibition match against the Vanderbilt Commodores, of which the Tide won 4-3.

"Even though it was just an exhibition game, we wanted to win. And we were able to accomplish that, and were able to score some goals along the way."

Yes it was a win for the Crimson Tide, but Hart also said that, just like in every sport, there's always room for improvement, and the girls worked hard this week to remedy those mistakes.

"It also exposed a few weaknesses that we need to work on as well, and we were able to address it at training this week."

One of the most well-known names on this team is Celia Jimenez Delgado, a JUCO transfer from Iowa Western Community College and an integral cog for the Spanish National Team this summer at the 2015 Women's World Cup, starting in all three of their matches in group play.

Celia plays as a defender, but with her talent and play-making abilities, Hart will be integrating her skills into the attacking tactics for the Crimson Tide this season.

"She adds creativity to our team, she adds composure and experience at a high level of play, having just played in the World Cup... a lot of the attack will run through Celia."

The Tide kickoff against the Memphis Tigers on Friday night at 7:00 PM and also against the Troy Trojans Sunday evening at the same time.
