Coming off a hot weekend in Atlanta, Alabama softball prepares for their 2016 home opener tonight against the Troy Trojans.

The Crimson Tide is 10-1 on the season and has won their last nine games.

Coach Patrick Murphy appeared on the Gary Harris Show to preview tonight’s game against the Trojans. Murphy discussed his team’s improvement over the first two weeks, the improved state of college softball within the borders of Alabama and the upcoming Easton Bama Bash this weekend.

He also updated the status of Haylie McCleney. McCleney took a pitch to the head against UAB resulting in her missing all five games at the Panther Invitational. Murphy stated that the senior outfielder passed a series of concussion tests earlier this week and is available to play against Troy.

First pitch for Alabama vs. Troy is at 5 PM.
