Alabama softball moved up two spots to No. 16 in this week’s NCAA RPI rankings but fell to No. 17 in both the USA Today/NFCA poll and the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll.

The Crimson Tide moved up two spots to No. 16 in this week’s NCAA RPI, its highest of the season, but fell two spots in both the NFCA poll and USA Softball poll. Heading into this week’s games, Alabama is 26-13 overall and 7-8 in conference play after winning one of its three games on the road last weekend at Arkansas.

Twelve SEC teams are either ranked in the top 25 or are receiving votes this week. Ranked SEC teams include Florida (5/5), Georgia (6/7), Tennessee (7/10), Texas A&M (9/9), Auburn (11/13), South Carolina (12/12), LSU (15/15), Arkansas (16/16), Alabama (17/17), Mississippi State (19/22) and Kentucky (20/18). Missouri is receiving votes outside the top 25 in the USA Softball poll.

This week, Alabama hosts Southern Miss for a midweek matchup Wednesday, April 18 at 6 p.m. CT live on the SEC Network. The Tide then faces seventh-ranked Tennessee in a weekend series at Rhoads Stadium, staring Saturday, April 21 at 4:30 p.m. CT. Game two is set for a 2 p.m. CT start on Sunday, April 22 live on ESPN2 and the series finale begins at 6 p.m. CT on Monday, April 23 on the SEC Network.
